Dominical Highway: COMPLETED!
Anyone having travelled to the Dominical area in the past say....40 years...might have noticed that the Costanera Highway running along the Pacific Coast fell short of completion at Quepos. Costa Rica news sites had a hay-day with this oversight for years. This left Dominical in a bit of a bad situation when it came to attracting tourists to the many Costa Rica resorts in the area. Try and explain that the 22km drive will take them 2.5 hours and they may need back surgery after. Well now the drive from Dominical to Manuel Antonio takes a mere...drum roll please...20 minutes!
This now makes even day trips to Costa Rica's ever popular Guanacaste region, all the more possible.
